For 22 years of my life, I lived through the cold winters of Massachusetts, but occasionally my parents and I would go on vacation and visit family in Georgia and South Carolina. It always felt like home to me when I was south of the Mason-Dixon line, and I knew one day that I had to live there.
In 2012, I received my Associates Degree in Graphic Design, and in the fall I went on to pursue my Bachelors Degree at a university in Massachusetts. I had great friends and a very supportive family, but I still felt as if something was missing.
In January of 2013, I decided that I wanted to transfer schools and live my dream in the South. Finally, in August of 2013, my dreams became a reality when I loaded down my Toyota Camry with everything I owned, hugged my parents good-bye, and drove 1,600 miles to Thibodaux, Louisiana. I have now been living and loving every part of Southern Louisiana for a year and a half now.
