Adjusting to Winter in Louisiana

In New England, winter lasts from late October until late April. That’s almost six months where we can’t enjoy the outdoors without freezing every inch of our bodies off. Since being in Louisiana, I haven’t had to wear more than a sweatshirt all year long. Summertime activities that I can only enjoy for a few months in Massachusetts, I can do all year round here. Just last weekend, at the beginning of February, I was sitting on a boat in the marsh having a relaxing day of fishing. Being able to do things like this whenever I want is what I love about the South. So really, it isn’t a bad adjustment at all.
